MAIN CONFERENCE DAY 2 – 20 October 2026, Tuesday

3:30 PM Interview: Digital Talent Strategy — Should you build it, buy it or borrow it?

  • Is upskilling your existing workforce a realistic long-term strategy, or are there capabilities that are better acquired through hiring, contingent talent, or external partners?
  •  What does "buying" digital talent and capability look like in practice, and how can Procurement and HR jointly balance cost, quality, speed, and retention?
  • Which digital capabilities should organisations build and retain internally, and which are best accessed through MSPs, staffing partners, consultants, platforms, or managed services?
  • What does an effective blended workforce strategy look like, and how are leading organisations in APAC aligning Procurement and HR to optimise permanent, contingent, freelance, and outsourced talent?
  • How do Procurement and HR define the digital capability baseline required across the organisation, and what role does continuous learning play in preparing the workforce for the future?
